Does ECON have delivery trucks?

Yes. Fleet of 10 delivery trucks that service northwest and western Pennsylvania, western New York and eastern Ohio

What is ECON’s delivery area and frequency of delivery?

We deliver within a 150 Mile Radius of Erie PA & Warren OH hitting each area three times per week.

Directions to ECON Locations?

  • Erie Office: 1301 Cranberry St. Erie, PA 16501
    I-79 North to Exit 183A/12th St. East. Take right off ramp and follow 12th St. E ¾ mile and turn Right on Cranberry St. ECONSteel is on your left.
  • Warren Office: 490 N. River Rd. Warren, Ohio
    From 1-90: Take Rout 11 south to Route 82 west. Take Rt. 82 west to the Perkins/Jones/Larchmont exit. At end of exit turn right and continue to first crossroad (North River Road). Turn Right. ECONSteel approx., ¾ mile on the right.
  • From 1-80: Take Route 11 North to Route 82 west. Take 82 west to the Perkins Jones/Larchmont exit. At end of exit turn right and continue to first crossroad (North River Road). Turn right. ECONSteel approx, ¾ mile on the right.

Does ECON charge for delivery?

Delivery is included within our delivery area—a 150 mile radius of our Erie, PA and Warren, OH location.

Does ECON ship material to places outside the delivery area (i.e. LTL or TL shipments)

Yes

What are the freight terms for those shipments?

Pre-pay & Add

Does ECON make the shipping arrangements for me?

Yes

Will your ECON driver be able to unload our delivery?

No. Our shipments will require on-site cranes or equipment.

Are there any bridges or roads that would prevent us from getting a semi to your property?

Use the directions provided to avoid potential issues.

Is there overnight parking available?

Yes on street adjacent to our plant

How do I go about setting up an account?

Are there any surcharges that I won’t see until you invoice?

No. We will always quote a total price. Sales taxes are extra if applicable.

Do I need an account to buy from you?

No, but if you do not have an account payment by cash or credit card will be required.

Do you need to be paid in advance if I am not an established customer?

What is the difference between Hot Rolled & Cold Finished Steel Bar?

Surface finish. Cold Finished is drawn or turned from Hot Rolled for a tighter tolerance and then coated with oil to inhibit rusting.

What is the difference between an I-Beam and Wide-Flange Beam?

W vs. I. An I Beam is generally narrower n width with heavier flanges.
